Mega Buds

Conceived after the 2014 Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, Mega Buds was established by two veteran breeders—Chris (with deep roots in the Dutch and Spanish coffeeshop scenes) and Liam (a West Coast US medical cultivator and pheno-hunter). Frustrated that many commercial strains failed to hit their advertised yield potential without sacrificing terpene depth or potency, the pair set out to build a streamlined genetic catalog where extra-large yields are guaranteed. Mega Buds achieves this by crossing elite North American cuts with heavy-yielding European landraces and stabilized hybrids. Their selection process prioritizes massive calyx-to-leaf ratios, extreme trichome production, and structural resilience capable of supporting heavy, dense flower clusters. Their lineup features powerhouse strains such as Big Bruce, Colossal Purps, Giant Skittlez, Beast Mode Auto, and Mega CBD. Designed to offer maximum gram-per-square-meter efficiency for commercial setups while remaining easy to manage for home hobbyists, Mega Buds has built a global reputation for delivering oversized yields without compromising quality or flavor.

Next Generation

Officially established in 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Next Generation Seed Company (NGSC) is one of Canada’s most influential cannabis genetic preservationists. Founded by master breeder Jason Baker—famously known as "Romulan Jay" or "Jay Generation"—the seed bank was built with a singular priority: prioritizing intense, mouth-watering natural terpene flavor alongside raw potency. Next Generation earned international acclaim by selecting, stabilizing, and crossing iconic Pacific Northwest and British Columbia cuts. In 2008, the company temporarily relocated breeding operations to Europe (Spain and the Netherlands) to hone their feminized and autoflowering selection techniques before bringing their refined genetics back home to Canada. Inducted into the High Times Hall of Fame in 2008, Next Generation’s gardens famously served as the backdrop for early Jorge Cervantes cultivation guides. Their catalog features legendary, award-winning staples such as Grapefruit, Romulan, Avalon, Bonkers, Island Sweet Skunk, and Dynamite. Built on over two decades of strict organic selection, Next Generation Seed Company remains a trusted global authority for commercial cultivators and craft connoisseurs looking for authentic 1990s Canadian genetics.
