The heritage of Positronics Seeds is interwoven with the origins of modern European cannabis culture. The brand was created in 1985 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, by Wernard Bruining—the visionary who previously opened Amsterdam’s first coffee shop (Mellow Yellow in 1973) and introduced North American sinsemilla cultivation techniques to Europe. In establishing Positronics as Europe's first dedicated cannabis grow shop, Bruining created a central hub for genetic exchange, grower education, and selective plant stabilization.

In the mid-1990s, Positronics restructured and relocated its core operations to Málaga, Spain. Re-established alongside veteran Spanish cultivators, Positronics modernized its lineup while preserving the classic lineage that launched the Dutch homegrown movement. The seed bank focuses on organoleptic excellence, extreme resin production, high stress tolerance, and therapeutic applications.
