C99 from Female Seeds is a feminised, mostly Sativa strain whose story reaches back to the breeder's early years. It descends from a long-flowering Sweet Tai landrace bred with a shorter-flowering Sativa, probably Durban Poison, and was refined using Grapefruit and Pineapple phenotypes. Landraces of this type can take many months to finish, yet C99 is ready in roughly eight to nine weeks of flowering. Plants grow vigorously with modest stretch indoors and respond well to topping and low-stress training. The buds form dense, rounded clusters with a resinous coat. Two phenotypes exist: one stays slightly more compact, while the other reaches a little taller. Expect a sweet, fruity character with a pleasing tang, with grapefruit or pineapple notes depending on the phenotype you choose. Its CBD content is unusually high for a Sativa. The effect is warm and cheerful, with an uplifting, glowing feel. Outdoors, the bud structure is reported to resist mould, and late finishing around mid-October suits warmer areas.
